What the service provides

TextCompare is a free tool for finding literal differences between two plain texts. You do not need an account. These terms apply when you use the website and its comparison features.

Your content and responsibility

You retain your rights to the text and files you use. Only compare content you are authorized to use, and do not use the service unlawfully or attempt to disrupt it.

Review important results

Results depend on the text provided and the selected options. The tool does not verify facts, meaning, legal equivalence, plagiarism or document layout. Review important changes against the original documents. The downloadable report is not an executable patch.

Availability and limitations

We aim to provide a useful tool, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free results. The service is provided as available, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
